Dr. Lawrence Lai

Dr. Lawrence Lai obtained his BSc university degree in Microbiology and Immunology in 1995 and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2001 at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
Dr Lai is licensed to practice dentistry under the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and Dental College of Alberta. He is also a member of the BC Dental Association and the Alberta Dental Association. Dr. Lai continues to update his dental training by regularly attending national and international dental conferences and dental courses several times a year. He has completed more than 2000 continuing education hours since his graduation from dental school. He has special interests in dental implant, as well as hard and soft tissue grafting prior to implant surgery. On the other hand, creating beautiful smiles with the latest dental techniques and technology in dentistry also fascinate him. He has been applying the cutting edge Bioclear technique and Invisalign orthodontic treatment to conservatively restore youthful smiles for older patients.
However, his passion for cosmetic and regenerative dentistry is not the main driving force for him to go to work. It is the fulfillment, when he sees his patients’ improvement, mentally and physically, because of his hard work, that gives him the drive for trying his best at work. He looks forward to helping more people enjoy the many benefits of nowadays dentistry can offer.
Dr. Aaron Mah
Dentist
Dr. Aaron Mah hails from Calgary, Alberta, where he was born and raised. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Calgary, he ventured eastward to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Manitoba. Following his graduation in 2014, Dr. Mah returned to
his hometown of Calgary, where he has been practicing dentistry ever since.
Known for his kindness and passion for dentistry, Dr. Mah consistently prioritizes the well-being of his patients. He maintains active membership in several professional dental associations, including the Calgary District Dental Society, the Alberta Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Mah emphasizes the importance of preventive dental care in fostering a healthy smile, striving to educate his patients to enable them to make well-informed decisions and receive the highest standard of care.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Mah is an avid enthusiast of an active lifestyle. When not in the dental office, he can often be found engaging in activities such as hockey, soccer, golf, bowling, or exploring new destinations through travel. Dr. Mah’s love for food is evident, as he actively seeks out new flavors to satisfy his culinary passion.
Dr. Nicholas Hou
Dentist
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Nicholas Hou – the newest member of our South Trail Crossing Dental family.
Nick has received extensive education. His post-secondary education began with his Honors in Bachelor Science at Queen’s University, followed by his Masters in Science also at Queen’s where he studied the activity of an essential neuron protein. He then completed his PhD at Western University where he conducted experiments on dental implants and other dental materials. After his PhD, Nick moved to Europe and received his dental education in Ireland.
Nick believes in improving his patient’s oral health through education and he put his patient’s comfort at his utmost priority. Outside of the clinic, Nick enjoys traveling and was fortunate enough to explore close to 40 countries. Beside exploring new cultures, Nick can be found either cycling, skiing, at the outdoor or at the gym. Nick also practices taekwondo and plays the violin.
He is excited to be part of the South Trail Crossing Dental family, and looks forward to bringing his passion for comfortable, minimally invasive dentistry to the team.
He enjoys spending most of his spare time in the great outdoors, in all four seasons , with his wife and grown children – when they can join him !
